Door handle not going all the way yo

hi, our front door handle is not going all the way up hence not allowing us to lock the door, it seems to be jammed when i try to put it all the way up, i have included a picture of where i think the problem is. This circle isn’t going up but when i put the handle down it goes down.

Hello Sophia, it’s Kinda difficult to give you an exact quote on this matter as I would need to inspect it. Hopefully it’s just a bolt issue in the handle itself. I will send you a quote now going on the basis of fixing. The parts are not majorly expensive. I’m available Saturday morning between 10:30-11:30 I can look at it and advise if that’s something your happy with.
@Darren L. if it needs replacing how much would that cost please?
The moving spud nut is probably ok, it’s the teeth at the ends that could bent or caught on the adjoining track under or top of the door
The track mechanism may need replacing
