IKEA HAVSTA 242cm

Description

I’m looking for a flat-rate quote to assemble and "build-in" an IKEA HAVSTA storage combination (Grey-Beige, 242cm wide). I work in IT and will handle the tech setup, but I need an installer for the furniture build and professional finish. The Job Requirements: 1. Positioning & Hinge Stop Installation: Placement: The unit will be positioned with one side directly against a door architrave. Hinge Stops: Because the room has a heavy glass door, I need you to install Heavy-Duty Hinge Pin Door Stops on both the top and bottom hinges. The hinges are capped on both ends currently. I dont have the hinge stops so if you could add that the quote as well This involves removing the existing pins and replacing them with the adjustable stopper pins to limit the door’s swing and protect the new cabinet. 2. Custom Prep (Backboard Only): Socket Access: Precise rectangular cutout in the backboard only to expose the wall sockets inside the bottom-right cupboard. Cable Holes: Drill eight 10mm holes in the backboard (one tucked into the corner of each shelf section). Cable Routing: As you build, please thread my 8 lighting cables through these holes into the bottom-right cupboard where the socket is located Note on LEDs: The 4 LED strips for the bottom units have non-detachable cables. Please ensure these are not pinched during frame positioning. 3. Assembly & Leveling: Assemble and level the units so the sliding doors stay in place and don't "ghost slide." Securely anchor the units flush to the wall. 4. Professional Finishing: Apply a professional bead of paintable decorator’s caulk ONLY to the vertical seams where the units meet the walls/architrave. Note: Please do not caulk the center join where the two main units meet. I havent ordered the units yet but looking for a quote and timeline.

@Garrett D. I'll order the stuff this evening. Is there a way to accept your quote as I dont see it yet

Yes all do able, as it's ikea, everything is inter-linkable. I've assembled, fitted everything mentioned above, can get this sorted for you. Ill pop in my quote, bare in mind the site fee will be in there also, that's how taskmatch works, they get their little cut and we exchange details then.

@Garrett D. I will probably order this evening. if you think its all doable. I got a recommendation to contact yourself first. I wanted to get an idea of cost etc and wether what I'm asking is doable. I'd need you to supply the hinge pin. I used AI to find what I needed as I really did'nt want a door stop screwed into the laminate so thats what I came up with.

Yes Michael, I understand, when are you looking to get this done, when you ordering the stuff do you think. Are you going to get the hinge pin or want them supplied.

@Garrett D. I want to put lights for each unit since top and bottom so 2 for top and 2 for bottom for both units so 8 in total only want them through the backboard and they all link into the bottom unit at the back where I'll have the driver unit. Its only the thin back board I want the holes in but would need you to do it before the unit is attached to wall. Hope that makes sense. The lights are from ikea 4 of them have motion sensors that go on the bottom of each unit the ones without glass they have the cables attached to them. The others you just run cables the hole would be at the bottom of where each shelf goes on the backboard, Hope that makes sense.

Neatly, not nearly (apologies)

Just to clarify. Replace door hinge with the stop pins x2. Then assemble unit and attach to wall, caulk architrave side and left side by wall. Inside cut out for socket nearly obviously. Now explain the next bit, bore holes for wires im guessing there will be electrical equipment in one side and wires fed tru across to reach socket part is it. Multiple holes?
